Experimental Series Packs

Our Experimental Series of packs represent our effort to push the limits of pack construction with new materials and techniques. These will be sold in very small numbers, and will be built by our custom team. We will release Experimental Series packs sporadically throughout the year when we're feeling inspired by new ideas or new fabrics become available. 

At first glance these might look just like any other Octothorpe or Haul. However, these packs feature all of the upgrades. Additionally, incorporated in the design is a new waterproof 1000D heat seal fabric. If you've used one of our rainflies, then you know what 400D heat seal looks and feels like. It has a woven Cordura exterior, with a smooth and glossy finish on the interior side. The entire lower portion of these packs are constructed using this new 1000D fabric, so these promise to be some of the burliest and most water resistant backpacks we've ever made. We want to make clear that the seams for these packs haven't been sealed, but the fabric being waterproof will go a very long way in keeping the packs' interiors dry. Working with this fabric has been a real challenge, but we think the results more than make up for the difficulty involved.
