The Rufus is our smallest and lightest pack. Designed for those that like to carry fewer discs but don’t want to skimp on features, the Rufus is loaded with versatility. With a base frame that is 2” shorter and 2” narrower than our other packs, the Rufus offers optimal fit for smaller individuals while maintaining exceptional carry for larger torsos.

Featuring double convertible long pockets, both sides of the Double Convertible Rufus can be zipped down and tucked away to transform into haul pockets. Both sides feature pleated zippered pockets with Velcro patches, and when converted reveal elastic detail pockets for cell phones or quick access items. We’ve included an Insulated Insert to turn either converted haul pocket into a proper beverage Sherpa, giving it the additional structure and insulation you never knew you needed.
And speaking of new features, the Double Convertible Rufus sports our adjustable height putter pocket that comfortably fits 4. Whether you want those putters sitting up high and ready for action, or stashed away for transport, we’ve got you covered. Elastic loops for umbrella carry, mini pocket, D-rings, pen & pencil slots - check, check, aaaaaand check. And last, but certainly not least, the Rufus is equipped with our luxurious removable shoulder pads you’ve come to love and expect from every Pound pack.

Love everything about it! The comfort has exceeded my expectations, and I love the color (charcoal and brown bear). I’m also very pleased with the rainfly. I like that I can roll it down and use it like a boot when there is dew on the ground (instead of covering the entire bag).
It’s hard to talk about a product like this without giving a nod to the company itself. Pound is one of the only American made bags that never seems satisfied with the status quo and that is evident in every purchase I’ve made. The double convertible Rufus is an excellent bag with the finest construction. This being their smallest backpack offered, there is still tons of space for everything needed and the harness is generously padded and comfortable. Having some options available with drink storage is nice and the overall footprint of the bag feels larger in a good way. This is a solid bag for nearly any player at any level. Good things should be expensive and the price is more than justified.
The perfect disc golf bag does exist! This bag simply has it all, and everything is right where you want it. Exceptional design and high quality materials. Good thing these bags last a lifetime!
I love my bag!
I wasn’t sure I wanted to order another disc golf bag without being able to touch it first, especially at this premium price point. However, my expectations were far exceeded by the quality of the Rufus model and the versatility of the double convertible compartments. The craftsmanship is evident in every stitch, and the thoughtful design makes organization a breeze. I know they say this is a 'bag for life,' but considering how impressive this one is, I doubt it will be my only Pound purchase. Highly recommend to anyone seeking durability, functionality, and style in a disc golf bag.
