Custom Vagabond: Pack Builder
This is the perfect smaller bag. I've been looking for a good quality bag with plenty of storage and this has it! I'm usually not a fan of the single shoulder strap but this one is different. Comfortable and well balanced. We'll done!
This compact bag is an absolute marvel. It accommodates 11 discs in the main compartment, three putters in one side pocket, and an organizer in the other. This bag is ideal for my short technical course near home, where I don’t require the additional space and discs.
The craftsmanship and materials used in this bag are exceptional. It’s evident that the manufacturer has invested significantly in its quality. I’ve used grip and upper park in the past, and this is far superior. This bag has become my go-to for small bags, and I’m thrilled with my custom order. I can’t wait to upgrade to a larger backpack-style bag next year.
Love the bag. Brand new the zippers are a little stiff, but I believe in time they'll get much more smooth.
The only two problems I have with it are the shoulder strap slips often off my shoulder, which is only a little annoying. And I wish there was a place to better hold my extending disc retriever... Like if there were two loops on the front somewhere that I could slide my retriever into, it would be perfect for my style. Right now my retriever is sticking half in and half out of one of the side pockets. It works, but it requires attention to make sure it stays in the bag and it just isn't as comfy with it sticking out.
Otherwise the bag is great, well made, and spacious.
This was a gift that my son wanted and got. He loves it!!
Build quality is great. Materials are great. Amount of discs it hold, perfect. However, the overall design could use a few tweaks. First, the way the strap is attached to the bag. I would prefer a swivel clip. The strap is hard mounted in such a way that it is fixed and causes the strap to get rolled and twisted when you are throwing it over. So you have to take the bag off, straighten the strap, then throw it back over. Second, the main compartment opening is just a hair too small, front to back. The compartment itself is perfect size. But increase the opening a half inch would do wonders. Lastly, a couple of nitpicky things, it could use a couple of intentional attachment points, one for a towel and maybe a couple of velcro straps along the back at the bottom to hold a retriever pole. Those few things and it would be an absolute perfect bag for me.
All considered, I'm happy with it and it seems like it will last as long as my last bag, which was 25+years. So a worthy investment.
