The Octothorpe is our original disc golf backpack, and is a favorite among players around the world. Initially released in 2015, our goal with the Octothorpe's design was to combine the comfort and durability of a mountaineering pack with the functionality of a disc golf bag. We achieved that goal by applying design techniques, material selection, and quality standards that continue to set the bar today. As a result the Octothorpe is still the most comfortable, durable, and well made disc golf backpack in the sport.
Overview of Features
The Octothorpe features a main compartment with a 20 disc capacity, and an easy to access putter pocket at the top of the bag that can hold 4-5 putters. The pack also features six external zippered storage pockets, as well as an integrated hydration sleeve with tube management for those that carry hydration bladders. The pack exterior is constructed using a combination of US-made 1000D and 500D Cordura® Nylon fabric that provides maximum durability and light weight. For those who play in all conditions, the Octothorpe is also compatible with our rainfly that features waterproof fabric and magnetic flap closures for easy pocket access.
The Deluxe Limited Edition Octothorpe has all of the features of the regular Octothorpe, but also includes a few upgrades that we originally only offered through our Custom Program. These upgraded features include wider long pockets, a zippered scorecard pocket, and Velcro loop panels on the side of the pack.

It’s everything I hoped it would be. I went with the solid black. And I can fit everything I need in it. I also have a deluxe Rufus and wanted something bigger for more discs. I love both bags. They aren’t kidding when they say they’re the best disc golf bags. They are. It’s a fact.
My son really likes his new bag.snaps that hold strap came off.hasn’t had any issues with it lately.
Well I have had my new Octothorpe for a few days now and it has been a pleasure. I have played several rounds and it is very comfortable to carry but I expect nothing but the best from Pound, my first Octothorpe from 2016 has been such a great disc pack and my new one is no different, first class. And the black out color is beautiful, overall I’m very satisfied.
Finally pulled the trigger and ordered, and could not be happier with this bag! So comfortable, holds the perfect amount of discs for me, and great additional storage. Shout out to Bill too, who was awesome to deal with during the ordering process!
I purchased this bag for my son. He is very happy with it! It is light, even when fully loaded with discs and "stuff". And there is plenty of room for stuff. So comfortable and tough. It's a great bag. 10/10 🌟
